Book Your Container was an idea that our client needed. They envisioned removing the barriers of excruciating tasks for small to medium exporters while booking container shipments and availing logistic services.

The client required an automated booking process for small and medium-sized exporters and importers. They must be able to go online and book a container according to their needs and requirements.

Shipping companies have cumbersome processes with hefty documentation for booking, cancellation, terms and conditions, etc. Therefore our client needed one platform wherein all the formalities get processed transparently and efficiently.

This platform would enable exporters and importers to easily connect with logistics providers and know all the required information. Right from the routes to the costing and their entire process would be available on one platform. This would make it easy for the exporters to make their supply chain decisions.

The platform should integrate the propriety system of various shipping companies to determine rates and route forecasting. This makes it easy for exporters to customize, manage and plan their shipments accordingly.

Our expert team designed an ideal cloud-based solution with a simplified UI to ease the shipment booking process.

Our UX/UI team came up with the idea of designing a simplified UI. The platform was designed so that the users just had to enter the source, destination, and preferred size of container to start with. Once that is done, they get the required details of the available suppliers in one place, along with their routes, transit period, cost, departure & gate details.

It resulted in faster decisions by users and an increase in bookings for clients. The rate and the route forecasting feature helped vendors save time and money. The vendors could easily plan their shipping routes and avail the service of the desired shipping company.

Shipping companies have complex ERPs. Therefore it was a challenge to integrate all of them into one platform. But our team took up the challenge and integrated it effectively through communication. We understood the data integration points of all shipping companies individually and compiled them effectively.

Our UX/UI team knew that we were building a one-of-a-type platform; hence they kept a simple UI. It included a few text boxes to be filled, and the user would get the required information with a few clicks. Thus, the logistics booking was simplified for users.
